Dillon Lane and Taylor Gray Get Pranky With Special Guest Stars
What's better than watching Dillon Lane and Taylor Gray crack us up as the surf-crazy pals on Bucket and Skinner? Watching them shred the seas alongside a bundle of special guest stars! Tonight, Matt Shively, Jennette McCurdy and singer Cody Simpson are joining the cast for one of the most EPIC episodes yet! But while filming this celeb-packed hour-long special, the guys decided to have a little fun of their own. They spilled to Popstar! all about the behind-the-scenes pranks they pulled on their on-set visitors.
"Cody Simpson's in this episode," Dillon said. "And we took Cody's name tag for his door, his dressing room, and we put it on Jennette's, with Jennette's. And we walked in and we were like, 'yeah guys, we're really sorry we're just kinda overbooked, so you guys are gonna have to share a room with Jennette.' And Cody brought like, his whole family. And so, they were all sittin' in there. And we put up two couches facing each other and we lined up everything so it was exact mirror images of each other, so it looks like the room's like, split down the middle." But that's not all! "To Jennette's room, we took like five different scripts, like 110-page scripts, and just threw them all over her room," Dillon explained. "And took every picture off of all the hallways and put them in her room." Hil-arious!
But even though the guys had fun pulling gags on their pals in between takes, they were pretty pumped just to have the crew cameo. "Just to have one of them in an episode is pretty awesome," Taylor said. "We had three, so that's super cool. And between the three of them, they're so much fun to hang out with. Matt, we got to play so many different pranks and have fun with. Jennette, she loves pranking too, so we we've been doing that with her...and then Cody's super cool and nice!"
Hey, if the episode is half as good as Dillon and Taylor's hilarious gags, then we've got tons to look forward to. And for just a little extra taste of what's to come, Dillon gave the 411 on Epic Breakup's plot points. "In this hour-long special, Bucket and Skinner want to go to Rockochella, which is a huge music festival," he said. "And I wanna take Bucket to take his mind off of Kelly because she's going to prom with her boyfriend and it kinda breaks his heart. And we get lost on our way to Rockochella and we end up in the desert, the Mojave desert. And we're in our alien costumes, because it's alien themed at the concert. And we get kind of taken in by the military. And yeah, things kinda get sticky. And then I guess Kelly and her boyfriend break up and Bucket may have a chance to take her to the prom. And Skinner may have the chance to still make it to Rockochella. And there may be a little bit of parting of their ways..."
