Liz Gillies Gives Advice on 'Mean Girls'

Liz Gillies might love tormenting Tori as Jade on Victorious, but when the cameras are off, she's as sweet as can be. And she's got some great advice to give, too! This multi-talented star recently shared some of her words of wisdom to Huffington Post, and spilled on everything from her role on Victorious to her style sense. The Hollywood Arts mean girl even gave the 411 on how to deal with real life bullies.

So, what does Liz really think about playing the role of Jade West? "It's wonderful. I love playing Jade," she said. "I always say she's not so much the "mean" girl, but the "bad" girl in so many ways. She has a lot of human qualities to her...She's sweet with her boyfriend. It's nice to play a character with some depth."

We know that deep down, Jade's as soft as a cuddly teddy bear (well, sometimes at least). But Liz Gillies really is as sweet as can be. And she's a bit of an expert when it comes to dealing with real life mean girls. She was even nice enough to share her wisdom with her fans! "If someone's being less than courteous to you, I don't think you need to pay any attention to them," she said.

Liz is a bit sweeter on the outside than Jade. But there is one thing they share. Style sense! "I dress in a lot of black!" she said. "I love mesh, which sounds really weird, but I love wearing it on the show."

So, Liz may sport dark colors and play the "bad girl," but she's still a Hollywood sweetheart with positive attitude and a serious amount of drive. In fact, she's got the perfect motto for her fellow aspiring actors out there. "If you're passionate about something and stick with it, even if your friends aren't doing it, it'll pay off. It can be really rewarding to stick to your guns." You said it sister!
