WHO LIVES IN A PINEAPPLE UNDER THE SEA?! SpongeBob SquarePants! Everyone’s favorite Krabby Patty flipping, jellyfishing, song-singing, supremely-positive sponge needs no introduction, but we’ll give him one anyway. SpongeBob is played by voice actor Tom Kenney. He first appeared in the first-ever episode of SpongeBob, and has been making not just Bikini Bottom, but the whole world more F.U.N. ever since!
SpongeBob has lots of Bikini Bottom pals, like Sandy Cheeks, his pet snail Gary, his Krusty Krab coworkers Mr. Krabs and Squidward, and of course, his BFF and neighbor Patrick Star. When he’s not busy being the best fry cook Bikini Bottom has to offer, you might find him fighting-crime with Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy, selling CHOCOLATE with Patrick, cheerleading with Mr. Krabs’ daughter Pearl, facing-off with DoodleBob, accidentally summoning the Flying Dutchman, failing his boating license test with Ms. Puff, or protecting the Krabby Patty secret formula from Plankton’s tiny clutches.
SpongeBob is also the star of the original SpongeBob SquarePants series and THREE theatrical releases, including The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie, The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run, and The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water. SpongeBob also makes appearances in spin-off hits Kamp Koral: SpongeBob’s Under Years and The Patrick Star Show. He also appears in the popular YouTube series Pineapple Playhouse. The original SpongeBob series was created by Stephen Hillenberg.
